By participating in this hackathon, you have read, agreed, authorized, and accepted the following:

  • By attending this event you agree to be photographed and we have full rights to use them for publicity.
  • You will follow the BYU-Idaho Code of Conduct and Honor Code.
  • Your registration information will be used with and for our sponsors.

Project and Submission Requirements:

  • Video:
    • As part of your submission, you will be providing a 5-minute video of your prototype. This will be in the form of an informational commercial, details will be provide during Saturday Morning’s workshop. Be sure plan on how you included the theme and category.
  • Code:
    • If you are submitting a non-technical project, please submit your slide deck + product pictures to github instead of source code.
    • You will also be required to provide a link to your source code on GitHub, no other code repository will be accepted.
    • Show that the product compiles and runs.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection:

The following criteria is what the judges will be looking for in your solution's presentation, implementation, project management, and working prototype.

  • Theme & Category
    • Effort to dovetail the theme and the category to the problem and solution.
  • Working Product/Program
    • Demonstration of working prototype.
  • Business Commercial Presentation
    • How well did the 10-minute video follow the info-commercial outline.
  • Technical: Quality, Skills, Design, Problem Solving
    • Proper use ofprofessional principles and processes.
